Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born on April 28th in 1967) was an American performer and actress. Her career started when she was still a teenager. Her most notable role is Maggie Beckett, an actress in Sliders; and her character Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter Karin Noble (nee Noble) and is Payroll accountant as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer (a car dealer and police officer). There are three brothers and sisters. As a teenager, she was a singer performing in clubs, sneaking away from the family in order for the sake of performing. From the Wooster School, at the age of 13 and began to study the art of drama. After that, she studied at the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University, Marymount Manhattan College located at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, with the renowned professor Uta Hagen. She studied with her. She was born April 28 the 28th of April, 1967 at Brookfield Connecticut. Her mother is an accountant for payroll, while her father is German-American and is a police officer and auto salesperson. Kari was born in a family of four. When she was in her teens her nightclub performances were a highlight when she would sneak away and perform. Kari was first introduced to acting in Wooster School at the age of thirteen, and went on to study drama in NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Columbia University Marymount Manhattan College as well as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art under the famous Uta Hagen. Kari began performing in her teens, with her first break on television coming on 1987's MTV Remote Control.
